Local Administration Minister M K Stalin inaugurated a super speciality hospital at Chettinad Health City (CHC) spread over 100 acres in Kelambakkam on the occasion of its first anniversary on Saturday.

Stalin praised CHC for providing modern health facilities to people which complimented the efforts of the government through hospitals and primary health centres. 

He distributed prizes for top rankers of Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, a deemed university and winners of the intercollegiate cultural competitions organised by CHC recently.

The function also marked launch of a new family health care package called Chettinad Arogya Mitra which offered benefits to like periodic health checkups and medical services on credit.

CHC is promoted by Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar Charitable and Educational Trust at Kelambakkam located in Kancheepuram district.

Industrialist and Chettiar Charitable and Education Trust managing trustee MAM Ramaswamy and CHC vice-chairman MAMR Muthiah also took part in the anniversary celebration.
