This course provides an understanding of the biodiversity of flora
and fauna associated with marine environment, the nutrients and
drugs derived from them, their isolation, purification and
standardization and study of the effects of these compounds in
animals and humans. The syllabus is designed to give the
theoretical and practical skills needed for a career in marine
pharmacological science in pharmaceutical companies and other
drug research organizations.
Eligibility: M.B.B.S./B.D.S./B.Sc.(Allied Health Sciences )/B.Sc.
(Life Sciences /Biosciences)/B.Sc Botany with ancillary Zoology/
B.Sc (Biotechnology /Microbiology) /Bachelor of Physiotherapy
(BPT)/Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)/Bachelor of
Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)/Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language
Pathology /B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Physician’s Assistant or any
graduate degree in medical /health sciences awarded by recognized
University with a minimum of 55%marks.

Application along with prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs500/- made through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, payable at Chennai. The form can be obtained in person/through post/may be downloaded from the University website. If the form is downloaded, the completed form must be accompanied by a D.D. as per the above instruction.
