M.Sc Medical Biotechnology (2 Years - Regular)

Biotechnology presents opportunities to greatly enhance the efficiency and productivity of biological pathways. Thus, this new technology has great potential for transforming the genetic performance of specific qualities in living cells, including the alteration of growth or other processes, or the detection of diseases and unfavorable genetic traits.
This is of tremendous value to Medicine & related fields, health, industry as well as the conservation of biodiversity, and it is also important for transnational commerce and trade. The end-users and the beneficiaries of biotechnology, therefore, are people and the society of the nation and ultimately the fruits of Medical Biotechnology will enhancing the quality of life of entire mankind.

Eligibility:Nanotechnology can best be defined as a description of activities at the
level of atoms and molecules that have applications in the real world. The objectives of this Course is to provide students with a detailed knowledge of nanotechnology and their application in the medical field in an ethical and safe manner. The students of this course will also learn of relevant basic scientific principles underpinning nanotechnology, important bionanomaterials and their preparation, characterization and their applications and relevant tools and processes for measuring and
characterizing nanosize particles. Students after completion of this course will have ample opportunity in the field of medical bionanotechnology including R&D centres in various pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries.


 
How to Apply:
Application along with prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs.500/- made through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, payable at Chennai. The form can be obtained in person/through post/may be downloaded from the University website. If the form is downloaded, the completed form must be accompanied by a D.D. as per the above instruction.
